Thanksgiving is a GUARDIAN of your SOUL.
Colossians 2:1-8, I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. 2 I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. V2b-3, I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. 3 In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Why does Paul want them ENCOURAGED?
4 I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments.
MSG: I’m telling you this because I don’t want anyone leading you off on some wild-goose chase, after other so-called mysteries, or “the Secret.”
V5 For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you. And I rejoice that you are living as you should and that your faith in Christ is strong. 6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
We have SOMEONE!! Within us!
John 7:38, He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Philippians 4:6-7, ”In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will GUARD your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
THANKSGIVING COMES BY REALIZING HOW IMPORTANT WE ARE IN GOD’S PURPOSE.
Zechariah 4:10, "Do not despise the day of small things"
What if you spoke words of HOPE, and you caused someone to keep going, and not give up?
What if we just sent out a little word of hope, and it produced FAITH in someone else’s life?
What if you shared just a little of your faith with someone, and it produced a SALVATION in their live?
What if you encouraged someone, and it caused them to step into their destiny?
It does not take much. . . .just be who you are in Christ Jesus.
