"I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” And he said, “Go, and say to this people." (Isaiah 6:8)

When I received the invitation from Pastor Sammy Mores in Manila to send a message for the Pastors & Leaders Church Planting Conference I had no idea that I would be near this memorial for the Haystack Prayer Meeting in Williamstown, Massachusetts. So I went there to film this message.

This place is considered the, "Birthplace of American Missions." From this prayer meeting during a rain storm five young men decided to do something about sending the Gospel to Asia.

What does it remind me of.

1. Reminds us: The Importance Small Beginnings

2. Reminds us: The Influence of your Preaching & Testimony

3. Reminds us: The Importance of Prayer

4. Reminds us of need for Workers

5. Challenges us to keep going

That's not all . . .

God uses people in the middle of nowhere to plead for the souls of people who are everywhere.

God uses people who are young to stir up people of all ages.

God uses invisible and seemingly insignificant events to accomplish his great purposes.

The next time you see a raindrop fall, take a moment and thank God for the Haystack Prayer Meeting,
