Better is Possible! 5 Steps to a better life.

Hello Friends.  Today I want to take time to encourage you that Better is Possible in your life. The Bible says in John 10:10 (MSB), “A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”

Jesus didn’t come to earth so that we could live our lives the same way every day. Instead, he came so that we could have a better life. A more abundant life. A life of possibilities that never end!

Matthew 13:19-23 (NLT) says, “The good soil represents the hearts of those who truly accept God’s message and produce a huge harvest—thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted.”

Friend, which one do you think God wants for you? 30? Maybe 60? Possibly 100?

This is not the question you should be asking. Jesus said that He came so that we could have more and better life than we ever dreamed we could have! Of course God wants you to produce 100 fold. He wants what is best for you. So, instead of asking which God wants for you (30, 60, or 100) you should be asking: which one do you want for yourself.

Now, let me assure you that it is not wrong for you to want better things for your life. 2 Corinthians 9:8 (VOICE) says, “God is ready to overwhelm you with more blessings than you could ever imagine so that you’ll always be taken care of in every way and you’ll have more than enough to share.”

Beloved if you are ready and willing to hope and strive for the fullness of your potential here are some steps you can take.

1. Cultivate a MIND THAT BELIEVES

First you must believe that better is possible for you. Romans 12:2 NKJ,  “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Throughout their life, a person is told an average of TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THOUSAND times in their life that they can’t do something and this number doesn’t even include the number of times they tell themselves that!

On average it takes TWENTY EIGHT times of hearing yes YOU CAN to change a NO from being embedded in your subconscious mind.

Everything begins inside of you.

2. You must develop EYES OF FAITH.

Paul says in Ephesians 1:18, NKJV, “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” Basically, Paul is saying that the eyes of your heart, of your faith, are opened so that you can see the hope and glory of God’s plan for us.

3. Have a HEART THAT DREAMS.

John 10:10 (MSB), A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of. Joseph had a dream. Dreams are imperative to our lives because if we do not dream then we will never live up to our potential. Joseph dreamed that his family would bow down to him and eventually they did. If Joseph had never dreamed his family might not have sold him and he might never have lived up to his full potential.

If we don’t dream we become stagnant and complacent and content with where we are and growth and change never come.

4.  Dedicate yourself to COMMITMENT TO WORK.

Genesis 2:15 (NKJV), “Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.”

INCREASE IS THE REWARD FOR YOUR LABOR!

Reader, do you think that you are doing as good as you can right now? Whether it be in your finances, marriage, or walk with God?

God put man in the Garden of Eden to work, tend, and keep. Work is a good thing and it is one of God’s ways of blessing us with increase.

5. Have the COURAGE TO ASK.

Matthew 7:7, NKJV, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Matthew 21:22, NKJV, “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

If you can find the courage to ask for better things in your life and your have the ability to dream and believe that it can happen you will receive it friend.

Better is possible in your life. These are five easy steps you can take to get to better things in this new year. I pray that you find a heart that believes, eyes that see, a heart that dreams, the commitment to work, and the courage to ask.
