RADIANCE WITHIN
"Living from the Inside Out"
Thank you for being in the service with us. I pray that this message is a blessing to you. I pray that you have a Wonderful Christmas.
I will have the video, audio, and more notes posted here this week.
It is amazing how beautifully people decorate their homes for Christmas. I love driving around the neighborhoods seeing the lights. My wife Janet starts listening to Christmas carols on September 1st (she says it’s only because I won’t let her do it any earlier!).
But in this Christmas series, I want to talk about the REAL LIGHT of Christmas.
The truth is, Jesus didn’t just come to the world. He came to live in you. The message of Hebrews 1 is not just high theology; it is the practical blueprint for how we live today.
1. Radiance Brings Clarity
We live in a noisy world. We have "prophets of doom" on the news and "angels of distraction" on social media. People are constantly looking for a sign or a word to tell them their future is okay.
But Hebrews 1:2 tells us that God has spoken in these last days by His Son.
You don’t have to search through the world’s philosophies for answers. You have the Light. When fear speaks to you about your finances, answer with the Son. If He owns it all, and you are in Him, you are secure.
2. Radiance Changes the Atmosphere
Hebrews 1:3 calls Jesus the "radiance of the glory of God." He upholds the universe by the word of His power.
This is vital for us during the holidays. We often feel like victims of our environment—a tense meeting at work or a difficult family dinner. But you are called to be a Thermostat, not a Thermometer. A thermometer just reflects the room's temperature. A thermostat sets it. Because the Holy Spirit lives in you, you carry the atmosphere of Heaven. You can walk into a tense room and bring peace.
3. Radiance Brings Rest
In the Old Testament tabernacle, there were no chairs. The priest’s work was never done because animal blood could never fully take away sin. But Hebrews 1:3 says that after Jesus made purification for sins, He sat down.
Many Christians are exhausted because they are still standing on the inside—running on a hamster wheel of guilt, trying to earn God's love.
Visualize Jesus seated on the throne today. He is relaxed because it is finished. If He doesn't have to get up to fix your salvation, you can "sit down" on the inside. You are saved by grace.
4. You Are the Plan
When the Holy Spirit fell in Acts 2, it was proof that Jesus had successfully arrived at the Throne. The "Radiance" shifted vessels. It started in
Jesus, but now, through the Holy Spirit, it shines through us.
God isn't sending an angel to fix your workplace—He sent you.
God isn't sending a prophet to encourage your neighbor—He sent you.
The Challenge:
This Christmas, don't just decorate your house with light. BE the light.

"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
