Daily Devotions with Larry Neville

Larry & Janet Neville share together about, “God’s House as a FAMILY.” God is our Father, we are a part of his eternal family and his family right here today. We are brothers and sisters. In these strange times, when the church building may be closed, you may be “social-distancing,” perhaps you feel lonely. Remember today that you are a part of the Family of God.

The Father’s House Devotional #7 God’s House is a FAMILY! NOTES

1 John 3:1 NLT, See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are! But the people who belong to this world don’t know God, so they don’t understand that we are his children.

2 Corinthians 6:18 NLT, I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

The Bible speaks of the HOUSEHOLD of God.

Ephesians 2:19, You are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.

Why FAMILY?

Romans 12:10 (TPT), Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another.

Romans 14:19 VOICE, Join us, and pursue a life that creates peace and builds up our brothers and sisters.

Family provides a support network when you’re going through a tough time.

Crisis, disruption draws a family closer together!

Bible word support network=fellowship. Fellowship means we care and support each other.

Acts 2:42, They took part in the fellowship, sharing in the fellowship meals and in praying together. Ced translation: “They were like family to each other.” “All the believers continued together in close fellowship.” The Message paraphrase, “They lived in wonderful harmony.”

God’s Family is about: RELATIONSHIPS! 1 Timothy 5:1-2 NLT, Never speak harshly to an older man but appeal to him respectfully as though he were your own father.

Real fellowship happens in the church, because we’re brothers and we’re sisters and we love each other.
