"With the Holy Spirit and FIRE."

There a substitute for the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit in the Church.
Being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now” (Acts 1: 4-5 NKJV).
"Being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now” (Luke 24:49).
"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all ]with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:1-4 NKJV).
1. The Day of Pentecost
There are three major feasts in Bible. Each feast has prophetic significance regarding the plan of God for the salvation of mankind and the establishment of God’s kingdom on earth:
(1.) Passover,
(2.) Pentecost,
(3.) Feast Tabernacles
2. The Word, “BAPTISM”
“but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
There are three Baptisms for BELIEVERS in JESUS
(1.)The Baptism in the Body of Christ
1 Corinthians 12:13, For by one [Holy] Spirit we were all baptized into one body whether Jew or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one [Holy} Spirit.
(2.) Baptism in Water
Matthew 28:19, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
(3.)The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Matthew 3:11 NKJV, “I (John the Baptist) baptize you with water for repentance, (Jesus) who is more powerful than I is coming after me; I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Mark 1:8 , I (John the Baptist) indeed baptized you with water, but He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
Luke 3:16, John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
3. What Happened on Day of Pentecost?
Acts 2:5: “And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.”
Acts 2:6, And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?
Acts 2:11, Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
4. Can I experience Pentecost?
(1.) 120 together, people loved God following Jesus.
Verses 3-4, Tongues of Fire sat upon EACH of THEM.
(2.) Multitude
Acts 2:37, Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
Acts 2:38-39, Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
Consider these questions:
Can you be saved?
Can you receive Jesus?
Do you need to receive Jesus?
Can you receive HS?
Do you need to receive HS?
3. Philip at Samaria
Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, 15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. 18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,
4. Ephesus Believers
Acts 19:1 NKJV, And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2 he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” 3 And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.”4 Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
5. What do I need to do?
(1.) Believe
You receive the Holy Spirit by faith, just as you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior by faith.
(2.) Ask
Luke 11:13, If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
(3.) It’s a, Choice
“They spoke in Tongues as the Spirit give them words, ability”
The Holy Spirit does not MAKE you do ANYTHING! You choose to surrender.
Why the Tongues? (We will talk about that more in further studies). The Power base of human experience is the, “TONGUE.”
James 3:6, And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.
James 3:8, But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit involves Faith and Surrender.
Let's hunger to be FILLED.
