Happy Monday Morning

Thank you my Father in heaven for choosing me in Christ before the foundation of the world. That I should be holy and without blame before You in love. Thank you for predestining me to be your adopted son by Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of Your will. To the praise and glory of Your grace, by which you have made me accepted in the Beloved.” (Ref: Ephesians 1:3-6)

This week Janet and I have had the privilege of hosting some “Meetups” with pastors in small groups. It felt so good to get together with them.

As we all shared in the different meetings, one testimony really blessed me.

Saturday morning at the Pastors Meetup in Huntington Park, Julio and Carol Sandoval pastors in Grand Terrace, California were with us. Carol shared that in 1999 I preached at the Praise Chapel in Fontana, California. Julio and Carol were young believers in that church.

She was in a lot of pain and could hardly move her right arm due to Carpal Tunnel and tennantite. As I was beginning to speak, I said, “I’m changing my message to preach on healing.” Carol said that she knew it was for her. Later in the service, I asked if you were in pain to come for prayer and Julio told her, “Let's go.” As we prayed, Carol received a healing miracle. The pain left and she could move her arm. That so encouraged me.

The enemy has tried to keep God’s people apart during this past year and a half. Way too many people are not going faithfully to their church. That is not good nor is it God’s purpose for his people.

We need to gather.

Meeting with the pastors in these small groups is so good because we all have the opportunity to share. That is how we encourage one another. It is so important to get together “in person” and encourage one another in the faith.

Please do not allow anything to keep you away from brothers and sisters in the Lord.

“Under his (Jesus) direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly, and each part in its own special way helps the other parts, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Ephesians 4:16 TLB

We ministered Sunday morning at Praise Chapel Rancho Cucamonga. We are teaching on the subject of, “The Table.” Janet and I shared about how (the story goes) I fell in love with her in the kitchen as she was frying chicken. I have a short three-minute clip from Sunday you will enjoy.

"OH W A F" (Oh What a Father)

By

Janet Neville

I have this saying, "OHWAF." It is my abbreviation for, "Oh What A Father." I remember my mother-in-law Clarissa Neville shared an OWAF moment with me that she experienced many years ago.

They were living in a travel trailer behind their gospel tent. She had four eggs, four strips of bacon, and four pieces of bread, that was it.

As she was cooking the bacon and eggs for her family a preacher and his family stopped by to see them. Mom would always feed whoever came by. So she opened the fridge and there were still four eggs and four pieces of bacon in the fridge and four pieces of bread.

That was after she had already taken all the food out of the fridge.

Mom added those four pieces of bacon to the four pieces of bacon she was already cooking. And, you guessed it, she went back to the fridge and when she opened it there was the same food she had taken out, four pieces of bacon and four eggs.

She ended up cooking a platter of bacon and eggs and plenty of toast. The preacher and his family, mom and dad, Mike and Larry ate all they wanted and had leftovers.

After the preacher and his family left, mom looked in the fridge and there were still four eggs and four pieces of bacon, and four slices of bread.

That was an OHWAF moment.

Whatever you need right now, know that God is Jehovah Jireh. He wants you to have an OHWAF moment of blessing. Just like my mother-in-law did.

Here goes another Jewel from my files of Dr. John Holland.

“He must learn to walk through his Pain.”

By

Dr. John Holland

We are continuing Dr. Hollands teaching on, "Receiving and releasing the ministry of the Holy Spirit." It is a multi-week series. Today Dr. Holland tell the story of his own journey to healing.

The gift of God is mobility, capacity, competency, dignity, and destiny. None of us have found these while we lay groveling in the dust caused by other people’s marching feet. My doctor said, “he will have to learn to walk through his pain or he will be a cripple the rest of his life.”

I learned that through human effort, pain and disappointment there is possibility of a different future.
