Vision for Multiplication
Accomplishment of this mission is critical to the church of Jesus Christ.
1. Principle of Multiplication
Genesis 1:27-28, So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply;
Genesis 9:1-3 NLT, God blessed Noah and his sons and told them, “Multiply and fill the earth.
God's purpose for Adam and Eve wasn't to have one big family. The call was to “multiply,” to produce children who had the desire and capacity to produce other children. They couldn’t “fill the earth and reign over it” unless they reproduced children who would reproduce.
2. The Dignity of the Local Church
Matthew 16:18, I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock[a] I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Dignity…church and these men peter
And to these common men.
Mark 16:16 NLT, And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.
Acts 1:8, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
The Book of Acts Church:
Acts 2:47, And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Acts 5:14, NKJV, “And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,”
Acts 6:1 NLT, As the believers rapidly multiplied,
Acts 6:7 NKJV, Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.
Acts 9:31 NKJV, Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria hadpeace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.
3. The Requirement to be Witnesses
Acts 1:8, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
4. Making Discipleship
Matthew 28:19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
5. Multiply through Church Planting
Jesus was the first church planter. Then he handed the task to his disciples. They followed that principle.
2 Timothy 2:2 NLT, You have heard me teach many things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Teach these great truths to trustworthy people who are able to pass them on to others.
5. Go into all the world.
Church planting is a global enterprise.
I trust that you are challenged by this message. Ask God what his calling is on your life. We believe in Globality: The Gospel to Everyone, Everywhere by Anyone. The harvest is ripe but the workers are few.
